Site Core, Extension and Plugin Update Policy

For our Managed Hosting clients we handle core updates for Joomla! and WordPress along with extension and plugin updates. This article sets out our policy regarding updates and how we handle them.

Core Updates

We update our internal dev sites first and check for any issues. If the update is fine then we then roll out the update to our client sites. This testing process can sometimes take up to 24 hours from initial release. Security releases are handled based on the specific bug fix and may be updated immediately.

Plugin and Extension Updates

We maintain subscriptions with most popular software authors and can update premium plugins and extensions without additional cost to our clients. Some clients purchase their own licences and we can update if we have the licence details and it remains active.

For premium software we can update as and when required but if the subscription is not in our library this will be an additional cost as we will have to purchase a new licence.
